Back in the spring of 2017 we did a batch of custom jersey’s for our region using Champion Systems. We pretty much only made enough for those that wanted them, with very few extras. We have ran out and now are doing a new batch, using the same design.
At this point, we only have a design for a jersey, jacket or vest.
Even though all-black colored apparel is the vogue now, it is not very visible to motorists. Consequently, I went with a fairly bright, visible color scheme. Safety first.
Ordering & Pricing
This is the page to order. Instead of ordering through my site, this year, I’ll have you order directly through Champion and they will ship the entire batch to me, after which I will distribute them to each of you via U.S. Mail. Ordering closes on March the 10th, 2019. Since these items are all custom-made for you personally, please order carefully, as their are no refunds and exchanges may be difficult. We don’t plan on keeping much inventory on hand. You must complete “check out” to finalize their order. Orders with “Order Saved” status will not be produced.
This is the Champion page showing their different cycling apparel collections and specifically, the Tech Pro Jersey info page.
“Tech” is their standard-weave “budget” jersey model.
All jerseys will have full-length zippers and will be the relaxed club fit, unless otherwise requested. If you want something special and it is not visible on our site, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll see if I can add onto the online store.

Shipping
The price on their site includes a one-time batch shipping charge to me (approx. April 10-17th), after which I will mail them to your home. If I bring them to an event instead, it will save you $5.00 per item. I will just refund you in cash at the event.
Sizing Notes
Here is their sizing page.
Please note that they now offer a “long length” size which yields an extra 1.5″ in the sleeve of the short-sleeve jersey only, but does not increase the overall torso height. For additional torso length, pick the Club Cut option, which is about 1.5” longer than the same size in race cut.
Their site does say “Please Note:Our sizing was modified in 2017. The chest measurements are slightly smaller than previous years. Please refer to sizing charts for reference.” Our last order was in 2017, so it is unclear if our last batch was before or after their change! I would just say, if in doubt, order up!
I received some samples from them and although we will be getting their relaxed Club Fit, they still run small. Their XL is similar to the Large from Black Bottoms or Voler. With Black Bottoms, for example, I fit into a large OK, but since I am tall, I usually go up a size to XL to get the height.
Examples of what sizes fit for local members:
- Tall guy (Richard, 6′ 4″, 182 lbs., 41″ chest): XL club fit.
- Average guy (6’0″, 170 lbs.): Large fits fine around the chest but is a little short, especially in the back.
- Ladies: I had some ladies try on the male jersey’s and an average to large busted 5′ 10″ female fit into a men’s Small or Medium, but we can order women’s sizes too without meeting a certain minimum for ladies jerseys.
